2. Orders & Payment

All prices are in USD. Minimum order value is $5. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order.

3. Cancellation, Returns & Replacements

No Returns or Exchanges: As all our greeting cards are personalized and made-to-order specifically for individual customers, we cannot accept returns or exchanges under any circumstances. Each card is uniquely crafted with your custom message and is intended for your specific recipient.

Undelivered Cards: If your card is not delivered within 2 weeks of your order date, our team is happy to send a replacement card to the same delivery address at no additional cost. Simply email us at hello@penpals.ie with your order details and we'll arrange a replacement.

Order Cancellation: You may cancel your order within 24 hours of order confirmation before production begins. Once your card enters production, cancellation is no longer possible due to the personalized nature of our products.

4. Shipping & Customs

Items ship from Ireland via An Post. You are responsible for all customs, duties, taxes, and related fees. Delivery typically takes 5–7 business days within Europe and 7–14 business days worldwide. Priority “Send ASAP” orders placed before 2 PM Irish time ship the next working day.

5. Intellectual Property

All card designs and website content are owned or properly licensed by us. No part may be reproduced, distributed, or modified without our prior written consent.

6. User-Supplied Content

You supply only the inside-card text. You warrant it does not infringe any rights or laws, and you indemnify us against any claims arising from it. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order containing unlawful or offensive content.

7. Disclaimers & Liability

Cards are hand-written; ink shade, print quality, and minor variations may occur. Our total liability is limited to the purchase price of the affected card. All claims must be made within 21 days of delivery.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

You provide: name, shipping address, email.
Automatically: IP address, device/browser details, pages visited.
Third-party: payment data via Stripe; cookies and tracking via Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, and Meta Ads. AI-assisted message processing via OpenAI.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to process orders, communicate with you, improve our site, and—only with consent—send marketing communications. We also process customer‑supplied card message text using OpenAI’s API to provide AI‑powered message enhancements; OpenAI acts as our data processor for this service.

4. Data Retention

Orders & Transactions: 2 years.
Analytics Logs: 12 months.
Marketing Lists & Consent Logs: Until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.

5. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you may access, correct, erase, restrict, or port your data. To exercise any right, contact privacy@penpals.ie. We will respond within 30 days.
